Immediate Opportunity for Human Resource Generalist

If you are a high energy person who loves working with people, have at least 5 years general Human Resource / Employee Relations Experience -- then this is a great opportunity for you!  SlimGenics Weight Control Centers (www.slimgenics.com) is seeking candidates for an HR Generalist in our Centennial, CO management office. We are currently seeking Applicants who are experienced with working with a diversified workforce, and who realize that Employee Satisfaction and Retention is a priority.

Job Summary:


The ideal candidate MUST have experience managing the day-to-day operations of the Human Resource office. Your skill set should include managing workforce scheduling and the administration of human resources policies, procedures and programs. The Human Resources Generalist manages Human Resources practices and objectives that will provide an employee-oriented, high performance culture that emphasizes empowerment, quality, productivity and standards, goal attainment, and the recruitment and ongoing development of a superior workforce.
Job Responsibilities Include:



recruiting and staffing logistics;


scheduling staff shifts for multiple locations;


performance management and improvement systems;


organization development;


employment and compliance to regulatory concerns and reporting;


employee orientation, development and training;


employee relations;


company employee communication;


compensation and benefits administration;


employee safety, welfare, wellness and health; and


employee services and counseling;


Partners with management to communicate Human Resources policies, procedures, programs and laws;


Recommends employee relations practices necessary to establish a positive employer-employee relationship and promote a high level of employee morale;


Participates in the conduct of investigations when employee complaints or concerns are brought forth;


Advises managers and supervisors about the steps in the progressive discipline system;


Counsels managers on employment issues;


Assists with the implementation of company safety and health programs.


Location / Schedule:



8am to 5pm Monday thru Friday at Centennial, CO office

GENERAL SUMMARY:  This position will serve as the primary communications lead for the organization and will be responsible for the development, integration and implementation of internal communications in support of the company's strategic direction and vision. Will lead and execute key internal communication programs and initiatives as assigned.

 
ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:
 
1. Structure, Strategy and Deployment of Content (30%)
«        Define the strategic tools and how they should be used for our internal communication needs: identify existing and new tools, streamline or implement as appropriate based on business need and brand strategy and integrating social and multi-media as possible and appropriate.
«        Develop compelling content that drives user adoption of strategic tools.
«        Provide strategic direction for the company’s intranet to enhance its effectiveness as a successful business resource and communications tool.
«        Design, develop and deploy business-specific pages on the intranet that are aligned with brand image, strategy and direction.
«        Build capability throughout the organization to maintain and refresh content.
«        Develop criteria, measurement and evaluation strategies for communication tools.
2. Internal Communications (30%)
«        Draft and review internal corporate communications from all departments ensuring alignment with employment brand and brand strategy.
«        Design, develop and deploy Internal Employee communications posting on company intranet, archiving older communications, rotating content and maintaining a compelling approach.
«        Develop leadership messaging to internal audiences that reflects the brand image, strategy and direction.
«        Write articles, speeches and consult with presenter(s) on presentation techniques.
«        Determine right approach to messaging based on target audience.
«        Identify great “stories" from our field and corporate teams as well as members that support the brand strategy and build pride in the brand.
3. Business Partner Communication (20%)
«        Cultivate effective, strategic relationships with business partners throughout the organization.
«        Identify and help craft internal communication strategies for individual business units (Benefits, Legal, Employee Relations, Retail, Operations, Marketing, etc) and project launches.
«        Coach and influence company leaders to help them understand how internal communications can help drive the business.
 
4. Crisis Management (10%)
«        Actively review and update crisis management plans to ensure the Company’s readiness in crises situations. Serve as the primary Internal Communications contact when a crisis occurs.
«        Manage senior executive internal communication and alignment with legal policies and procedures in partnership with Human Resources, Operations, PR and Legal.
«        Work closely with legal department and member relations on situations with potential team member involvement.
 
5. Staffing & Development (10%)

Hire, manage, and coach staff as needed.  Make decisions regarding disciplinary action and terminations. Work with appropriate personnel when needed.
Prepare and maintain employee performance reviews and related documentation.
Produce annual reviews of subordinate employee performance.
Manage the day-to-day operations of the Internal Communications department, oversee employee development and performance – maintain safe, fair, open work environment  
Oversee hiring and interviewing practices.
Oversee staffing schedules and manage to ensure schedule adherence.
Ensure all goals are met by managing the daily workflow and staff workload.
Provide feedback to staff in weekly group meetings.
Provide motivation, goals and objectives to staff on a regular basis. 

 
 

ORGANIZATION RELATIONSHIPS:
Relationships are vital to the success of this job. The person in this position must cultivate and maintain solid relationships with functional and field leaders.
